Job Summary
AmeriCorps Healthy Lifestyles Coach supporting a summer AmeriCorps program with Boys & Girls Clubs across Acadiana, LA. Primary responsibilities include planning and facilitating Triple Play and Healthy Habits activities for youth, delivering health-education programming, collaborative team trainings, and service projects. The role requires 35–40 hours per week from mid-May to July 2026, active participation in mandatory meetings/trainings, and partnering with BGCA staff to implement youth development activities for groups of varying sizes. Eligible applicants are 18+, U.S. citizens or nationals, and must complete a National Service background check and drug screening. The position offers an on-site role at local Boys & Girls Clubs and a living allowance as part of AmeriCorps benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or national of the United States
- Be at least 18 years or older
- Pass a National Service Background Check, including criminal background, sex offender and FBI check
- Drug screen
