Americas Client Service Specialist

Job Summary
Respond to complex client inquiries regarding MSCI's methodologies, data solutions, and benchmark products via telephone and email. Analyze financial markets and client data to deliver insights on index performance and product trends, while building long-term relationships through proactive engagement. Partner with cross-functional teams including Product Management and Research to communicate feedback and influence enhancements to MSCI's offerings. Serve as the primary point of contact for data requests and day-to-day support, coordinating internally to resolve issues efficiently. Monitor global economic developments to provide clients with relevant context for investment decisions.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in Financial Services, Asset Management, Investment Banking, Risk Management, Capital Markets, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts, methodologies, and technical information clearly to clients, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a deadline-driven environment
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt quickly to changing business needs, and effectively prioritize competing demands
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions, geographies, and cultures, building strong relationships and engaging the right stakeholders to achieve shared objectives
- Client-centric mindset with a track record of delivering value-added solutions and fostering long-term client partnerships
- Forward-thinking approach with the ability to anticipate emerging trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive innovative solutions
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills, with a structured approach to problem solving and decision making
- Working knowledge of AI-powered tools and technologies, with the ability to leverage them to enhance productivity, analysis, and client service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Solid understanding of international financial institutions, investment management, and global capital markets
- Strong knowledge of financial and risk management concepts, including market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, counterparty credit risk, stress testing, Value at Risk (VaR), portfolio construction, optimization, CAPM, modern portfolio theory, and multi-factor risk models
- Experience supporting institutional clients or working in a client-facing, analytical, consulting, or investment-related role
