Job Summary
Load raw materials, deburr finished parts, and operate basic shop equipment like cut-off saws under supervision. Use precision measuring tools to check parts for defects and verify blueprint tolerances. Safely transport materials and tooling throughout the shop using pallet jacks or forklifts. Organize tooling cabinets, maintain inventory, and clean work areas while performing light preventive maintenance on machines. Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and PPE requirements. This role offers on-the-job training to grow into a full Machinist position within our precision machining shop serving aerospace and industrial sectors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to kneel
- Must be able to safely lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly reliable
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced setting
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational technical schooling
- 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
