Job Summary
Lead an ASL enrichment class for elementary students and adults by teaching basic signs, vocabulary, and communication skills in an interactive environment. Create a supportive classroom atmosphere while managing behavior positively and following provided lesson plans from the program coordinator. Arrive on time and prepared to deliver engaging content across two part-time shifts in Santa Monica. This role is ideal for educators or ASL interpreters passionate about fostering self-reliance in youth and families.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with children in an educational, camp, or enrichment setting
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Reliable and able to step in when needed
- Passion for teaching and engaging with students
- Experience with American Sign Language (fluency or strong working knowledge preferred)
