Job Summary
Lead Party Planner for American Girl Franklin Bistro/Store responsible for delivering premier party experiences by working one-on-one with guests, coordinating with management, creating party contracts, coordinating caterer orders, updating on food selections and attendee counts, developing schedules for the party team, assigning front-of-house and back-of-house tasks, maintaining inventory and ensuring food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety; day-of-event duties include greeting and seating guests, managing requests, taking and delivering orders, processing checks, tidying up, restocking supplies, and ensuring a pleasant ambient environment; involve executing AG-standard programs (games, crafts, hair styling, doll care) and supporting management across Retail Sales, Customer Service, Doll Hair/Salon, Programs/Events, and Personal Shopping; requires strong customer service, communication, and multitasking abilities and the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- One to two years’ experience in a high volume, fine-casual dining or related restaurant (preferred)
- Minimum 6 months work experience in customer relations, parties or events
- Serve Safe certification (preferred)
- Experience working with children (preferred)
- Must enjoy public speaking
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a high pressure environment
- Ability to lift 30-50 pounds
- Warm and friendly demeanor
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills
- Experience with party contracts, event planning and reservations
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines
- InfoGenesis and POS systems experience
- Ability to manage inventory and create fair work schedules
- Ticketing, catering coordination
- FOH and BOH coordination
- Customer service excellence
