Job Summary
Design and deliver engaging online lessons covering grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation for students from beginner to advanced levels. Incorporate cultural aspects of American English and utilize multimedia tools to enhance comprehension. Monitor student progress through regular assessments, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to individual needs. Track attendance, manage class schedules, and offer technical support for accessing course materials. Provide periodic progress updates to parents and address inquiries promptly via email or virtual meetings. Requires native or near-native fluency in American English and a Bachelor's degree in English, Linguistics, or Education. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Linguistics, Education or a related field
- 2+ years of experience teaching English (online or in-person), ideally with a focus on American English
- Native or near-native fluency in American English
- Strong understanding of English grammar, phonetics and American cultural nuances
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using online teaching platforms and virtual classroom tools (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.)
- High-speed internet connection
- A computer with a webcam and microphone
Desired Qualifications
- TEFL/TESOL certification is preferred (or other ESL certification)
- Prior online teaching experience is preferred
