Job Summary
Instruct climbing techniques for all ages and experience levels, including private and semi-private lessons, while supervising open climb sessions. Manage and host team-building events, parties, and clinics at the rock wall, and perform frequent inspections to maintain safety and functionality. Document rock wall inventory and supplies, assist in managing reservations and rentals, and respond to customer inquiries. Requires a Rock Climbing Belay Certification, availability for a minimum of 24 hours per week including weekends, and submission of a resume and cover letter. This part-time role at LA PALESTRA integrates comprehensive medical analysis with exercise prescription and education.
Required Qualifications
- Rock Climbing Belay Certification
- available to work a minimum of 24 hours per week
- combination weekend and weekday mornings and or afternoons
Desired Qualifications
- previous certification from the Professional Climbing Instructors Association (PCIA)
- previous certification from the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA)
