AME Engineer - Execution (Senior Process Engineer)

Job Summary
Oversee project execution in EU&AF plants, ensuring implementation aligns with Lear AME standards and Roadmap. Coach plant teams on serial production, develop manufacturing layouts, and optimize process flows for new launches. Lead MOST studies, perform line balancing, and support APQP activities while maintaining PFMEA documentation. Interface with suppliers, Purchasing, and Commercial teams to drive RFQ processes and ensure clear business cases for projects. Maintain a safe working environment by complying with HSE legislation and local policies. Requires 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, fluency in English, and willingness to travel. Based in the EU&AF region.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role, Continuous Improvement role, Process Engineering role, or Project Management role
- Experience in supporting the execution of advanced manufacturing projects within an operational environment
- Proven experience within a Just-In-Time (JIT) or JIS manufacturing environment
- Experience with process flow development, line balancing, PFMEA, APQP, and manufacturing layout design
- Understanding of logistics flow concepts and material flow optimization within manufacturing operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated understanding of ergonomic requirements and ability to provide practical solutions
- Confidence in presenting to peers, plant leadership teams, and central organization stakeholders
- Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Willingness and flexibility to travel as required by the role
- University Degree ascertained in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or comparable discipline
- Min. 3-5 years work experience in a related field or position
- Fluency in English language both written and verbal
Desired Qualifications
- Project management experience with project budget control
- Understanding of CE certification requirements
