Job Summary
Conduct patient triage through telephonic nursing assessment, prioritization, and care disposition recommendations using decision support tools and provider collaboration. Recognize emergency signs and symptoms to support patients and families while applying the nursing process during telehealth encounters. Utilize critical thinking and synthesis of assessment data to prioritize care, select appropriate tools, and expedite nursing diagnoses. Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and health professionals to deliver care across the continuum and independently solve problems. Assist leadership in developing program goals and implementing quality programs focused on best practice patient care outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- South Dakota Board of Nursing
