Job Summary
Ambulatory Surgery Nurse Womens at TriStar Centennial Medical Center role focuses on evaluating patients preoperatively, providing patient and family education about peri-operative care, preparing patients including IV therapy and preoperative medications, and participating in surgical site verification and universal protocols. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, support continuous improvement, and participate in rounds with unit leaders. The position requires on-call during select non-business hours and includes a 4-10s shift pattern (10am - close). The role emphasizes nursing leadership, critical thinking, technical skills, and education of patients/families about medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up measures.
Required Qualifications
- (RN) Registered Nurse
- Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- 2 years experience Required Years of Experience. Surgical Services experience preferred but not required.
