Ambulatory Surgery Center Clinical Administrator

Job Summary
Lead the administration and supervision of all medical personnel at the Ambulatory Surgery Center, interpreting departmental philosophy, objectives, and policies for staff. Manage daily operations by allocating functions, coordinating activity within the O.R. suite, and overseeing the provision and control of materials and equipment. Monitor budget compliance, assess staff performance, and enforce policy adherence while providing counseling and disciplinary measures for non-compliance. Assign services personnel based on competency and patient needs, complete scheduling, and actively participate in weekly staff meetings to evaluate orientation and educational requirements. Occasionally work evenings or weekends in a busy office environment with moderate telephone work.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse License
- Current American Heart Assn. BLS and ACLS certifications
- GI Experience
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to occasionally work with explosives
- Must be able to occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions
- Must be able to occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- Must be able to occasionally be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals
- Must be able to occasionally be at risk of electrical shock
- Must be able to occasionally be at risk of radiation
- Must be able to occasionally work in a normal busy office environment
- Must be able to occasionally perform much telephone work
- Must be able to occasionally work evening or weekend shifts
