Job Summary
Ambulatory Services Representative in Oncology at UMass Memorial Health (Worcester, MA) performs a variety of administrative duties in ambulatory/outpatient settings, including greeting patients, verifying demographics and insurance, collecting co-pays, obtaining consent, coordinating referrals and pre-authorizations, assisting with scheduling across multiple providers, and ensuring efficient patient care workflows. Requires strong communication, office software proficiency, ability to handle financial transactions, and knowledge of billing and referral processes. 40-hour day shift, Monday–Friday, with a signing bonus potentially available.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 3 years of related experience
- Ability to use specialized applications software and computer systems
- Multitasking and ability to work under stressful situations
- Excellent communication and human relations skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology/procedures preferred (not required)
