Job Summary
Ambulatory Pulmonary RN provides direct patient care in a physician practice with responsibilities including assisting with patient calls/triage, explaining test results and appointments, triaging acutely ill patients, administering medications and injections, performing EKGs and oxygen needs assessments, teaching patients and families about medications and inhaler/nebulizer use, coordinating with the health care team, and maintaining documentation in the medical record. Requires nursing degree, RI RN license, BLS, ACLS (within six months), and 2-3 years’ pulmonary- care experience; shift is daytime, M-F, in East Providence, RI.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a school of nursing
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island
- Basic Life Support certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (required within six months of hire)
- 2-3 years’ progressively more responsible related experience with pulmonary medicine
