Job Summary
Process patient appointments, schedule follow-ups, and coordinate physician schedules by communicating requests for changes to scheduling staff. Greet and acknowledge patients and visitors professionally, answer telephones by the third ring, and monitor patient flow throughout the day. Manage daily office functions including faxing, calling for outside records, processing forms, and obtaining records from external facilities. Utilize Epic EMR and Tiger messaging systems to link appointments across locations and respond to department messages. Complete weekly and monthly assignments according to a rotating schedule while maintaining a high level of concentration and flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- One to three (1–3) years of healthcare office experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Monday through Friday, day shift
- one holiday required every two years
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred High School Diploma
- Prior EMR experience (Epic) for scheduling and registration functions
