Ambulatory Patient Access Representative-Hilltop Primary Care Center

Job Summary

Greets and registers patients, answers telephone calls, and schedules appointments. Pulls and files medical charts, obtains accurate demographic and insurance information, and screens registrations for pre-certification and referral requirements. Instructs customers on eligibility differences and assists in identifying self-pay patients for financial assistance. Establishes communication with clinical staff and assists in shadowing new employees. Requires a valid Ohio driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and a motor vehicle background inspection. Part-time Tuesday through Thursday shifts from 4:30pm to 9pm.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Ohio driver's license
  • Proof of auto insurance
  • Pass a motor vehicle background inspection
  • Insurance eligibility
  • Driving qualifications
  • Training set forth by Nationwide Children's Hospital
  • Maintain qualification of insurance guidelines
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CPR certification
  • Demonstrated computer skills
  • Ability to navigate most current technology systems
  • Strong administrative skills
  • One year of health care experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree
  • Experience in health care
