Job Summary
Manage day-to-day operations of the Ambulatory Clinic by supervising staff, triaging patient phone calls, and reviewing lab reports to report abnormal results to physicians. Coordinate room utilization, develop standardized procedures, and perform quality improvement projects while adhering to DOH, JCAHO, HIPAA, and OSHA standards. Act as a liaison between physicians, staff, and patients to resolve problems and rectify issues reported by any party. Prepare fiscal and operational reports as directed and represent the department on committees as needed. Update policies and procedures to meet changing departmental needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to practice in New York State
- Five (5) years of Registered Nurse experience with at least three (3) years of supervisory or administrative experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced nursing degree
- Experience with triage
- Knowledge of JCAHO and HIPAA standards
