Job Summary
Ambulatory LPN in Express Care clinics providing frontline nursing care: perform patient assessment and triage, administer prescribed medications and treatments, coordinate tests (labs, imaging, home or acute care admissions), assist providers with procedures, and document all patient activities in the EMR. Deliver patient education on medications, tests, and procedures; notify patients of test results and provider disposition; maintain safe exam rooms and equipment; participate in patient safety rounds and adhere to infection control and safety policies. Requires KS LPN license and BLS; on-site daytime full-time role in Topeka, KS.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse - KSBN
- A multistate license with the ability to practice within Kansas (KSBN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Experience in a clinic setting (preferred)
- Proficiency with EMR systems
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Ability to triage and coordinate tests and services
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality and rights
- Ability to document medical information accurately
- Ability to work under indirect physician supervision
- Adherence to infection control and safety policies
