Job Summary
Lead ambulatory specialty pharmacists and liaisons while developing clinical pharmacy services in oncology, hematology, and rheumatology clinics. Optimize drug therapy and prevent medication errors to ensure patient safety and outcomes. Manage operational needs, including scheduling, billing, and high-cost drug utilization, while overseeing residency programs and interdisciplinary projects. Drive cost savings and revenue generation through innovative methods and participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives. Report regularly to the Senior Director on compliance and performance metrics.
Required Qualifications
- BS Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Doctor of pharmacy
- Licensure to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by the hire date
- Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP)
- Post-graduate training
- At least two years of pertinent work experience
- Work experience in providing direct patient care in Hematology and or Oncology
- Some leadership experience
Desired Qualifications
- Masters degree in related field (MBA, MPH, MS in pharmacy)
- Completion of specialized clinical residency in Hematology Oncology or other specialty settings
