Job Summary
Ambulatory Clinic RN Care Coordinator-Cardiology coordinates and delivers clinical nursing care within the cardiology ambulatory setting. Responsibilities include completing prior authorizations for procedures and medications, reviewing clinical documentation for medical necessity, communicating with providers, staff, and payers to obtain information and resolve authorization issues, managing patient flow and triage, liaising between front desk, nursing staff, physicians, and clinic manager, and supporting patient self-management and education to optimize outcomes. The role utilizes EMR to document assessments, plans, and progress toward goals, and requires the RN to educate patients and families about medications, procedures, and safety, while maintaining patient confidentiality. Requires high school diploma and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing with 2+ years of RN experience; active multistate RN license and BLS certification.
