Job Summary
Ambulatory Clinic LPN II coordinates nursing care in an outpatient clinic, greeting patients, taking histories, recording vital signs, administering IM/SC/oral medications, observing and reporting patient conditions, assisting physicians during treatment and testing, preparing supplies, and coordinating referrals and pre-authorizations. The role requires EMR documentation, sample collection, lab result entry, patient education under RN/MD guidance, scheduling tests, and ensuring timely chart entries while following Kansas Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies; clinical duties may vary by department.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Multistate LPN license or eligibility in KS/MO (state dependent)
- Experience in medical office setting preferred
- Proficiency with EMR systems
- Strong assessment and patient care skills
- Knowledge of FMLA, DME, Home Health orders
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
