Job Summary
Ambulatory Care Technician (ACT) at a pediatric oncology clinic provides patient-facing support to maximize clinic efficiency and the patient/family experience. The ACT welcomes and rooms patients, collects medical history and vital signs, utilizes clinic software for documentation, and supports licensed staff in delivering safe, service-oriented care. The role is supervised by a Registered Nurse and requires effective teamwork, ability to manage multiple priorities, proficiency in medical terminology, and comfort in a pediatric oncology setting. Required education and certifications include a high school diploma/GED, completion of a patient-care program (or RN/LVN program equivalent) and BLS certification within 30 days. This is a per diem, day-shift position with compensation in the range of $22.70-$31.10 hourly, annualized to $47,216-$64,688 per year for budgeting and payroll purposes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Program Graduation from a patient care program (e.g. MA, CNA, EMT) or equivalent
- BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
