Ambulance Supply Technician: 5am - 7pm Shift

Job Summary
Issue required supplies and equipment to ambulance crews, restock ambulances and stockrooms, and wash, disinfect, and fuel vehicles for daily use. Maintain complete and accurate inventory and asset records through data entry and physical counts, while driving MEMS-owned vehicles to deliver supplies to outlying stations and vendors. Inspect, clean, and repair medical equipment; pick up, decontaminate, and redistribute gear. Safeguard equipment, maintain a safe work area, and provide support during mass casualty incidents or natural disasters. Work a 14-hour Sunday through Wednesday shift from 5:00am to 7:00pm with overtime available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR
- Ability to manage time in the absence of direct oversight
- Knowledge of geography of service area and ability to read a map
- Ability to remain calm during stressful situations
- Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people
- Ability to present an efficient and professional demeanor
- Ability to work with computers and accurately enter data
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Hearing: no more than a moderate hearing loss
- Employee will be required, from time to time, to lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds
- Pre-employment drug testing is required of all candidates
Desired Qualifications
- First Responder course desirable
- American Heart BLS Level C
- Current or previous EMT experience a plus but not required
