Job Summary
The Ambulance Night Dispatch Supervisor oversees emergency dispatch operations during overnight hours, ensuring efficient coordination of medical transport services. Key responsibilities include supervising dispatch staff, monitoring call handling and response times, ensuring compliance with EMS regulations, and coordinating ambulance deployment. The role requires a certification in Emergency Medical Dispatch, strong knowledge of dispatch systems, and 3–5 years of EMS dispatch experience. Supervisory experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Ambulance, 911 dispatch or EMT experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of EMS dispatch experience
- Certification in Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) required or ability to obtain
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and multitasking skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
Desired Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of dispatch systems, CAD software, and radio communications
