Job Summary
Conduct patient care and support at community events and on the ambulance, managing the patient journey from 111 calls through to treatment, transport, or referral. Cover local and international sports events, school fairs, and concerts while providing quality care. Complete online and classroom training over 6-9 months, including physical and health assessments, to become safe and effective in the field. Maintain a clean police record, hold a full NZ driver's licence for 12 months or complete an advanced driving course, and be available for approximately two 12-hour shifts and one training session monthly.
Required Qualifications
- A full and clean NZ driver's licence for at least 12 months or have completed an approved NZTA advanced driving course (if full licence held for less than 12 months)
- To be 18 years of age or over
- New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status
- A clean police record
- To be able pass Hato Hone St John assessments - physical assessment, health questionnaire, literacy and numeracy assessments and an interview
- To be available for regular duty and training (approximately two 12 hour shifts and one training session per month)
Desired Qualifications
- A First Aid certificate level 2 is preferred, but if you don't currently have one, we'll provide the training
