Job Summary
Ambulance & Events Volunteers provide care and support to patients at community events and on ambulances, with NZQA-recognised training and 6–9 months of online and classroom training. The role involves varied duties at local and international sports events, school fairs, concerts, and on-scene patient care, requiring a compassionate, reliable individual with strong communication and time-management skills. Applicants must hold a full NZ driver’s licence (or have completed an approved NZTA advanced driving course if under 12 months), be 18+, NZ citizen or permanent resident, and pass health, literacy/numeracy, and interview assessments; training and support will be provided. Required Qualifications
- A full and clean NZ driver’s licence for at least 12 months or have completed an approved NZTA advanced driving course (if full licence held for less than 12 months)
- 18 years of age or over
- New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status
- A clean police record
- To meet assessments (physical assessment, health questionnaire, literacy and numeracy assessments) and an interview
- To meet Medical Standards
Additional Requirements
- Available for regular duty and training (approx. two 12 hour shifts and one training session per month)
