Job Summary
Provide care and support to patients through their journey, whether responding to 111 calls or covering local and international sports events, school fairs, or concerts. Deliver quality care to patients on scene, treating them or referring them to other healthcare providers as needed. Complete approximately two 12-hour shifts and one training session per month while undergoing online and classroom training over 6-9 months. Maintain a clean police record and hold a full NZ driver's licence for at least 12 months or an approved advanced driving course. Apply before September 13, 2026, and pass physical, health, literacy, numeracy, and interview assessments.
Required Qualifications
- A full and clean NZ driver's licence for at least 12 months or have completed an approved NZTA advanced driving course (if full licence held for less than 12 months)
- To be 18 years of age or over
- New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status
- A clean police record
- To be able pass Hato Hone St John assessments - physical assessment, health questionnaire, literacy and numeracy assessments and an interview
- To be available for regular duty and training (approximately two 12 hour shifts and one training session per month)
Desired Qualifications
- A First Aid certificate level 2 is preferred, but if you don't currently have one, we'll provide the training
