Job Summary
Provide care and support to patients through their journey, responding to 111 calls and assisting at local, international sports events, school fairs, or concerts. Deliver quality care on scene or during transport to medical facilities, ensuring safety and effectiveness in the field. Complete approximately two 12-hour shifts and one training session per month while undergoing a 6-9 month training program including online modules, classroom sessions, and workbooks. Maintain a clean NZ driver's licence for at least 12 months or complete an approved NZTA advanced driving course.
Required Qualifications
- A full and clean NZ driver's licence for at least 12 months or have completed an approved NZTA advanced driving course (if full licence held for less than 12 months)
- To be 18 years of age or over
- New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status
- A clean police record
- To be able pass Hato Hone St John assessments - physical assessment, health questionnaire, literacy and numeracy assessments and an interview
- To be available for regular duty and training (approximately two 12 hour shifts and one training session per month)
