Ambulance Care Assistant

Ambulance Care Assistant role delivering safe, reliable transport to vulnerable patients across Canvey Island. Responsibilities include safely driving patients to appointments, providing reassurance and compassionate care, assisting with mobility and transferring patients, performing vehicle checks, maintaining infection prevention standards, and accurately recording journey details. Must communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare staff, uphold patient confidentiality, and follow procedures. Role includes two weeks of funded training, mandatory safeguarding and onboarding processes, and flexible shift patterns (early mornings, evenings, lates, nights) with weekend/public holiday coverage. Requires a Full UK Manual Driving Licence and the Right to Work in the UK; DBS check and references are part of the recruitment process.
