Job Summary
Transport elderly, sick, and vulnerable service users to medical appointments and between healthcare facilities while ensuring a high level of empathy, particularly for end-of-life cases. Assist with patient transfers from beds to stretchers and chairs both in and out of hospitals and medical flights. Help secure and lift service users in and out of the ambulance, manage challenging behaviors, and maintain the vehicle's safety and cleanliness. Communicate effectively with patients and their relatives, and assist with handing over patients to appropriate staff or family members. Hold a full UK manual driving licence with less than six penalty points and be physically fit for patient handling.
Required Qualifications
- Full UK Manual driving licence with less than 6 penalty points
- Enhanced DBS check
- Physically fit for patient handling and moving
- Familiar with the local and surrounding area
