Job Summary
Parking Enforcement Ambassador for the City of Omaha patrols assigned routes on foot (3–5 miles daily) to enforce parking regulations, utilizes License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to monitor time limits and violations, issues citations and warnings, responds to complaints, and De-escalates confrontational situations while providing clear guidance to the public. Works outdoors in all weather, requires independent decision-making, strong integrity, and professionalism. Must have a valid driver’s license, pass a background check and drug screening, and be proficient with smartphones/software; schedule is swing shift (Tuesday–Saturday, 12:30 PM–9:00 PM).
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic proficiency with smartphones and mobile applications
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
- Proven ability to handle high-stress or confrontational situations professionally
