Job Summary
Explain Room Service menus to patients, qualify their service level, and deliver meal trays while adhering to HACCP principles and hand hygiene protocols. Manage paperwork including tray delivery forms and temperature monitoring logs, and orient patients to the ordering process. Ensure meal selections align with patient diet orders and communicate service qualifications to the Call Center. Push and pull wheeled carts for tray transport and perform applicable cleaning and sanitation procedures on carts, coffee machines, and refrigerators. Prioritize patient delivery within the allotted 45 minutes while effectively using HEAL scripting to respond to internal and external customers.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to push and pull wheeled carts
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Ability to tolerate frequent temperature changes working with and around equipment that generates heat, steam, and cold
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Food service or customer service experience preferred
