Job Summary
Receive and prepare packages for delivery by loading conveyor belts, sorting, scanning orders on handheld devices, and staging deliveries for drivers. Transport and stage packages into delivery bags and vans while building, wrapping, and moving pallets and boxes using carts, dollies, and hand trucks. Receive truck deliveries of customer packages and operate equipment in a climate-controlled environment with varying temperatures. Shifts include early morning, overnight, full-time, part-time, and flexible options. You'll complete on-the-job training during your first few days.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Understand and follow instructions in English
- Lift up to 49 pounds
- View prompts on screens and follow direction for some tasks
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
- Ability to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
- Ability to go up and down stairs (where applicable)
- Ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures and moving vehicles
- Ability to receive and prepare packages for delivery
- Ability to use technology like smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders into delivery bags and vans
- Ability to build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages
- Ability to receive truck deliveries of customer packages
- Ability to operate and work around moving equipment—mobile cards, rolling cages, etc.
- Ability to stand in one place for long periods, walk around, or climb stairs
- Ability to wear closed-toe shoes
- Ability to wear protective safety footwear in select areas
