Job Summary
Receive and prepare packages for delivery by loading conveyor belts and staging orders for drivers. Scan and sort items using smartphones and handheld devices to build, wrap, and transport pallets and packages into delivery bags and vans. Operate carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items, including navigating stairs where applicable. Work in climate-controlled facilities with temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 90°F while standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching during shifts.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Understand and follow instructions in English
- Lift up to 49 pounds
- View prompts on screens and follow direction for some tasks
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
- Ability to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
- Ability to go up and down stairs (where applicable)
- Ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures and moving vehicles
- Ability to receive and prepare packages for delivery
- Ability to use technology like smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders into delivery bags and vans
- Ability to build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages
- Ability to receive truck deliveries of customer packages
- Ability to work early morning and overnight hours
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours), reduced-time (30-39 hours), part-time (20-29 hours), or flex-time (minimum 4 hours/week)
- Ability to work a fixed or flexible schedule
- Ability to work overtime when shift is extended or reduced
- Ability to work in a climate-controlled facility with temperatures between 60°F and 90°F
- Ability to work in a noisy environment
- Ability to wear closed-toe shoes
- Ability to wear protective safety footwear in select areas
