Job Summary
Amazon Package Sorter at an Amazon Delivery Station. Responsibilities include receiving and preparing packages for delivery, using smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders into delivery bags and vans, building/wrapping/sorting/transporting pallets and packages, and receiving truck deliveries. Shifts include Early Morning and Overnight with Full-Time, Reduced-Time, Part-Time, and Flex-Time options and flexible scheduling. Safety-focused environment with climate-controlled facilities, protective gear provided, and opportunities for overtime, benefits, and training. Location shown is Rockport, ME, US.
Required Qualifications
- Be 18 years or older
- Understand and follow instructions in English
- Lift up to 49 pounds
- View prompts on screens and follow direction for some tasks
- Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
- Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
- Go up and down stairs (where applicable)
- Work in an environment with varying temperatures and moving vehicles
- Receive and prepare packages for delivery
- Use technology like smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders into delivery bags and vans
- Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages
- Receive truck deliveries of customer packages
