Job Summary
Receive and prepare packages for delivery by loading conveyor belts, sorting, scanning orders on handheld devices, and staging items into bags and vans. Transport and stage deliveries to be picked up by drivers while building, wrapping, and moving pallets using carts, dollies, and hand trucks. Process truck deliveries of customer packages and follow on-screen prompts to direct tasks. Perform physical duties including standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, and navigating stairs in a climate-controlled environment with moving vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Understand and follow instructions in English
- Lift up to 49 pounds
- View prompts on screens and follow direction for some tasks
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
- Ability to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
- Ability to go up and down stairs (where applicable)
- Ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures and moving vehicles
- Ability to receive and prepare packages for delivery
- Ability to use technology like smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders into delivery bags and vans
- Ability to build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages
- Ability to receive truck deliveries of customer packages
- Ability to work in a climate-controlled facility with temperatures between 60°F and 90°F (exceeding 90°F on hot days, below freezing on cold days)
- Ability to work in a noisy environment
- Ability to wear closed-toe shoes
- Ability to wear protective safety footwear in select areas
- Ability to operate and work around moving equipment—mobile cards, rolling cages, etc.
- Ability to stand in one place for long periods
- Ability to walk around
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to work in a relaxed and comfortable dress code environment
