Job Summary
Receive and prepare packages for delivery by loading conveyor belts, sorting, scanning, and staging orders into delivery bags and vans. Transport pallets and packages using carts, dollies, and hand trucks while operating mobile cards and rolling cages. Work in climate-controlled facilities with temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 90°F, adhering to safety protocols and wearing protective gear. Shifts include early morning, overnight, and flexible hours, with opportunities for overtime based on customer demand. Complete on-the-job training during your first few days before transitioning to your chosen schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Understand and follow instructions in English
- Lift up to 49 pounds
- View prompts on screens and follow direction for some tasks
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
- Ability to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
- Ability to go up and down stairs (where applicable)
- Ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures and moving vehicles
- Ability to receive and prepare packages for delivery
- Ability to use technology like smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders into delivery bags and vans
- Ability to build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages
- Ability to receive truck deliveries of customer packages
- Ability to operate and work around moving equipment—mobile cards, rolling cages, etc.
- Ability to stand in one place for long periods
- Ability to walk around
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to work in climate-controlled facilities maintaining temperatures between 60°F and 90°F
- Ability to work in environments where temperatures can exceed 90°F on hot days or reach below freezing on cold days
- Ability to work in noisy environments
- Ability to wear hearing protection if needed
- Ability to wear closed-toe shoes
- Ability to wear protective safety footwear in select areas
