Job Summary
Amazon Connect REST API Integration Engineer responsible for designing and managing integrations for Amazon Connect, building scalable APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless backend-to-UI functionality. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining RESTful APIs, building Python-based AWS Lambda functions for serverless workflows, configuring Amazon Connect contact flows, designing DynamoDB schemas for scalable data models, leveraging AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, CloudWatch), collaborating with UI teams to enable frontend-backend integration, managing infrastructure with Terraform, supporting scalable cloud-native architectures and event-driven systems, and partnering with Amazon Professional Services and internal engineering teams on key initiatives. Requires 5+ years of AWS cloud development and serverless experience, Python Lambda development, Amazon Connect experience, DynamoDB schema design, RESTful API development, Terraform proficiency, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in AWS cloud development and serverless architectures
- Hands-on expertise in Python, especially AWS Lambda development
- Experience with Amazon Connect and contact flow configuration
- Solid understanding of DynamoDB including schema design, indexing, and scaling strategies
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and DynamoDB
- Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure management
- Understanding of event-driven and microservices-based architectures
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
