Job Summary
Prepare coffee shop beverages by brewing, mixing, and blending drinks according to set standards. Prepare food items per procedures, ensuring safe handling and a clean work environment. Operate the cash register to itemize purchases and process payments for cash, checks, credit cards, and coupons. Stock items, rotate coffee displays, and notify the manager if supplies need ordering. Comply with security, cash handling, and food safety guidelines while maintaining a well-stocked department. Communicate loyalty programs, specials, and coupons to customers, modeling high service standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of retail or related experience
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good customer service and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Ability to work in a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures
- Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions
- Ability to comply with Company policies regarding security, cash handling/cash drawer accounting procedures, product handling, etc.
- Ability to maintain a clean and well-stocked department
- Ability to ensure the department complies with Company safety and sanitation procedures and standards
- Ability to follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines
- Ability to follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
- Ability to follow Guest Experience Guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- One year of retail or related experience preferred
- Ability to interact politely and effectively with customers
