Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, take and enter orders into the POS, and deliver food and beverages promptly while monitoring satisfaction and resolving concerns. Communicate dietary restrictions to the kitchen, complete opening and closing side work, and support banquet and special event service including setup and breakdown. Maintain a clean, organized service area, bus and reset tables, and monitor inventory levels. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced luxury environment at Hotel Oceana Santa Monica's La Monique, La Petite Monique, The Veranda, Sunset Terrace, and in-room dining venues.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Professional demeanor, reliability, and punctuality
- Valid California Food Handler Card
- Food safety certifications (e.g., ServSafe, Responsible Beverage Service)
- Previous restaurant experience
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs
- Ability to work in varying environments (kitchen, outdoor dining, storage areas)
- Manual dexterity to operate service equipment
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a restaurant or food service role
- Valid California Food Handler Card required
- Responsible Beverage Service required
- Flexible availability required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Hotel or fine dining experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Equivalent experience to High school diploma or GED
