Job Summary
AM - Room Service Server delivers meals to hotel guests with professional, timely service. Responsibilities include receiving orders via mobile dining app or phone, printing and staging orders for kitchen and in-room dining, preparing delivery bags with order copies, garnishes, condiments, and beverages, ensuring order accuracy, and delivering to guest rooms with verification of room number and guest name. Must verify alcohol orders per responsible beverage service procedures, greet guests, offer assistance, and communicate tray removal options. Maintain professional appearance, adhere to brand standards, restock inventory, and handle payment transactions. Requires strong organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment, and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; compensation ranges from $16.00-$17.00 per hour in Oak Brook, IL, with benefits and 24/7 scheduling flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Read and write to facilitate the communication process
- Good communication skills, verbal and written
- Basic computational ability
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
- Ability to describe all menu items, prices and methods of preparation
- Use suggestive selling techniques to encourage guests to choose house specialties
- Inform supervisor of any problems or complaints
- Responsible for proper handling of all equipment
