Job Summary
Maintain a clean and safe environment for students and staff by cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and grounds according to established schedules. Perform specialized tasks including waxing and stripping tile areas, shampooing carpets, refinish gymnasium floors, and replacing ceiling tiles. Complete minor maintenance such as repairing lockers, furniture, and equipment, while submitting supply orders and monitoring central plant and kitchen equipment logs. Inspect sites for safety issues, police grounds for landscaping problems, and secure the building at the end of each shift. Conduct site safety inspections and report maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical ability to perform all job functions
- Ability to read and speak limited English
