Job Summary
Aluminum Fabricator 1st Shift responsible for prioritizing workflow in the department, following drawings, SOPs, and blueprints for part installation and caulk application, and operating and troubleshooting multiple fabrication equipment (e.g., press brake, CNC, laser, punches, waterjet, automation systems). Performs tool changes, PPE use, and contributes to achieving daily/monthly production goals, while adhering to SAFETY and lean/5S standards. Requires reading blueprints and SOPs, basic math, strong attention to detail, and effective communication. Must be 18+, with prior manufacturing experience preferred, and able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check. Training includes SAP/MII/MES processes and potential cross-training in other production areas.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED preferred
- 12+ months prior manufacturing experience preferred
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old
- Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- High focus on quality and safety
- Proficient math, reading, and computer skills
- Advanced skill in using basic, pneumatic, and power tools
- Advanced skill in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
- Intermediate knowledge of differences between parts flowing through assigned areas
- Intermediate use of various prepping supplies and equipment required for assigned areas
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
