Job Summary
Analyst on JPMorgan’s Alternative Investments Group Structuring deal team in New York, supporting the VP deal captain and Associate in transaction management and overseeing designated projects. Responsible for underwriting and evaluating key fund terms; fund domiciles; corporate structures; and tax considerations. Regular interaction with senior executives within the Private Bank and with fund management teams/principals and external service providers. Key duties include mid-stream transaction execution from late due diligence to fund launch; developing marketing materials (flipbooks, executive summaries) highlighting investment considerations; analyzing investment strategies and competitive funds; reviewing offering materials with legal counsel; sign-off on subscription documents; training the marketing force on document execution; identifying non-standard structural issues prior to launch; educating Alternative Specialists Team to support regional teams; coordinating production of offering documents; liaising with Compliance and Risk Management on marketing guidelines; and monitoring fundraising progress for senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems and to manage multiple tasks at once
- Flexible team player with ability to work independently
- Strong interest in alternative investments preferred
- Verbal presentation skills
