Job Summary
High School Counselor responsible for supporting student success in academic achievement, career and college readiness, and social-emotional development. Collaborates with students, teachers, administrators, parents, and community, delivering ASCA Mindsets and Behaviors-based services, maintaining records, coordinating IEP/504 plans, providing individual and group counseling, and leading workshops on study skills, stress management, conflict resolution, and college/career readiness. Plans two DisOrientation weeks annually, delivers weekly SEL lessons, coordinates work-based learning, and supports CEPA, internships, scholarships, FAFSA, and college applications while fostering a positive school climate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Master’s preferred
- Colorado Department of Education Counselor Endorsement (SSP) or actively enrolled in Counselor Master’s Degree program
- Candidates should be eligible for employment in the US and able to pass background checks
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
