Job Summary
Associate – Hedge Fund Services Pricing role in Mumbai within J.P. Morgan Chase's Asset Pricing & Reference Data team. The position supports Hedge Fund clients with daily pricing for a range of asset types (public debt, listed instruments, private holdings and OTC derivatives), interfaces with fund managers and administrators, and provides valuation services and bespoke pricing variations. Responsibilities include timely receipt and processing of pricing feeds, exception-based validation of price movements, liaising with pricing vendors and brokers to minimize risk, consultative client engagement, price verification in line with Pricing Policy, bespoke valuation for unlisted exotic securities, and independent review of Fund Manager-driven pricing. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics (or equivalent experience), at least 3 years of securities pricing experience, and strong Excel and Bloomberg terminal skills, with prior experience in pricing workflows, vendor applications, and cross-location leadership preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree with preference in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (or equivalent industry experience)
- Minimum 3 years of securities pricing experience
- Exposure to debt, listed instruments and OTC derivatives
- Knowledge of industry activities: corporate actions, index tracking, stock markets and derivatives valuations
- Experience with pricing vendors/vendor applications; Bloomberg terminal
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills; analytical/problem solving ability
- Operational management experience including forecasting/strategic planning, in addition to metric and process flow analysis
- Experience working with pricing vendors/vendor applications; solid Bloomberg terminal knowledge
- Excellent communication skills; prior experience leading a team in multiple locations
- Experience in a global operational initiative would be preferable
