Job Summary
Alterations Specialists are responsible for completing all fittings and alterations to the high standards of David’s Bridal and report to the Store Manager. They provide friendly, knowledgeable, and technical expertise with a strong focus on five-star customer service. Responsibilities include assisting customers over the phone, virtual chats, and in person; managing customer flow using store systems; maintaining service levels and store standards; handling multiple customers concurrently; promoting alteration services and customization options; assisting stylists with gown fit and personalization; maintaining the alterations room and reviewing garments for quality before delivery; resolving customer service issues promptly; supporting cash wrap and POS transactions; managing inventory and special orders; ensuring pricing aligns with company standards; and performing sewing, steaming, pressing, and minor repairs to meet company guidelines. The role emphasizes building long-term customer relationships, delivering a flawless shopping experience, and upholding dress code policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
- Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment
- Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is a plus
