Job Summary
Alterations Specialists are responsible for completing all fittings and alterations to the high standards of David’s Bridal and reports to the Store Manager. They provide friendly, knowledgeable, and technical expertise and superior customer service. Responsibilities include welcoming customers over phone, virtual chats, and in person; managing customer flow to deliver five-star service; addressing customer concerns; promoting alteration services and gown customization; assisting stylists with gown fit; maintaining the alterations room and ensuring garments meet quality standards; handling pricing, POS transactions, inventory, and special orders; and ensuring a flawless shopping experience through proactive communication and operational discipline.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
- Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment
- Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is a plus
