Job Summary
Welcome customers via phone, virtual chats, and in-person interactions while managing appointment schedules and resolving conflicts. Press, steam, and spot clean garments, then inspect alterations for quality control before delivery. Escort clients to and from fitting appointments, process special orders and pickups, and maintain store standards including cleanliness and promotional readiness. Support inventory management and cash wrap transactions with accuracy while adhering to dress code policies. Escalate unresolved issues to the Alterations Manager as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent degree
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
- Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system
- Ability to lift/and or move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to see up close and at a distance, as well as use peripheral vision and depth perception
- Ability to look at, read, and use a computer, electronic devices and phones for long periods of time
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to reach for tools and objects with hands and arms
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to bend, twist and stand
- Ability to move throughout the store
- Ability to talk to and hear customers
- Manual dexterity to perform non-selling responsibilities, such as use of POS (Point of Sale) terminals, counting money, steaming garments, accessing computers and receiving or initiating telephone calls
- Manual dexterity to sew an perform fittings to David's Bridal standards, as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Prior sewing experience is helpful
