Job Summary
Welcome customers via phone, virtual chats, and in person while managing appointment schedules and resolving conflicts. Press, steam, and spot clean garments, then inspect all items for quality control before delivery. Escort alterations clients to and from appointments, process special orders and pickups, and maintain a clean, organized alterations room. Support inventory management and cash wrap transactions while adhering to store standards and dress code policies. Escalate unresolved issues to the Alterations Manager as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent degree
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
- Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system
- Ability to lift/and or move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to see up close and at a distance, as well as use peripheral vision and depth perception
- Ability to look at, read, and use a computer, electronic devices and phones for long periods of time
- Manual dexterity to perform non-selling responsibilities, such as use of POS (Point of Sale) terminals, counting money, steaming garments, accessing computers and receiving or initiating telephone calls
- Manual dexterity to sew an perform fittings to David's Bridal standards, as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to reach for tools and objects with hands and arms
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to bend, twist and stand
- Ability to move throughout the store
- Ability to talk to and hear customers
- Ability to be available for weekends only
- Ability to maintain high dress code standards as required by the Dress Code policy
Desired Qualifications
- Prior sewing experience is helpful
