Job Summary
Welcome and service alterations customers via phone, virtual chats, and in person while managing appointments and resolving conflicts. Press, steam, spot clean, and inspect all garments to ensure pristine condition before delivery. Escort customers to and from fittings, process special orders and pickups, and maintain store standards for a flawless shopping experience. Collaborate with the Alterations Manager to escalate unresolved issues and build long-term customer loyalty. Maintain a clean, organized alterations room and adhere to all dress code policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent degree
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
- Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system
- Ability to lift/and or move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to see up close and at a distance, as well as use peripheral vision and depth perception
- Ability to look at, read, and use a computer, electronic devices and phones for long periods of time
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to reach for tools and objects with hands and arms
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to bend, twist and stand
- Ability to move throughout the store
- Ability to talk to and hear customers
- Manual dexterity to perform non-selling responsibilities, such as use of POS (Point of Sale) terminals, counting money, steaming garments, accessing computers and receiving or initiating telephone calls
- Manual dexterity to sew an perform fittings to David's Bridal standards, as needed
